As we dive into the evaluation process, we want to take a moment to remind everyone of the importance of support and positivity during this exciting time. This is an opportunity for your child to showcase their skills, but it’s also a moment for them to grow, learn, and have fun.
Your child might feel nervous or unsure, especially if this is their first time being evaluated. Emphasize that it's about doing their best, not about being the best.
Let’s come together to make this a memorable and encouraging experience for our young athletes.
Evaluation Jersey Assignment:
Evaluation Jersey numbers and colors are assigned at random by Max Analytics for each skate, SMHA has employed a student to distribute these jerseys on the day of the evaluation. Your child may be wearing a different number and or a different colored jersey for each of the evaluation skates. Not to worry they are not wearing someone else's jersey. To ensure an unbiased evaluation jersey numbers and colors are changed at random. It's important they keep the number and color they were assigned and that no dressing room mix-ups occur.
In the event a player doesn’t show up for their scheduled time we have to balance the two rosters and a jersey color may be changed last minute, this is to ensure fair ice and equal numbers for both sides.
